JV's Tasting Bar - a surprise gem tucked away in its 'wine cellar.' As with everything we do here at JV, we do it BIG. The JV Tasting Bar, located in our retail store hosts and rotates 40 Boutique Wines every day! Explore our vast selection of boutique and reserve wines as you taste. .
Every Friday Night Winemaker Tastings
$2.00 tasting fee per person (refundable with purchase)
Join us for an evening of conversation while tasting some of the best wine in the world. During the weekly Friday Night Winemaker Tasting, JV showcases wines from around Napa Valley and the World. We bring Winemakers and Napa Locals together for stimulating conversation, laughter and yummy appetizers, all while tasting world class wines. The Tasting Bar has become a meeting place for Napa Locals before they head out to dinner Friday night, and usually there is somebody of note strolling the isles.
*Must be 21 years of age to enter JV's wine cellar.

JV Wine & Spirits and www.jvwine.com are your first source for all things wine and spirit related. We are Napa largest and oldest wine and spirit retailer and have over 3600 wines, 1200 spirits for your enjoyment.

We are open 365 days a year for your shopping convenience. Our tasting bar is open 7 days a week from 2 – 7 p.m. Closed major holidays

Our wine cellar contains every producer we feel is of importance to the retail market and is correct for the grape on the label. We do not use ratings of any kind and reject all POS, magazines or publications that contain any form of rating. We taste over 5000 wines a year and are your best source for real world recommendations.

Each Friday we highlight some of Napa's best and brightest winemakers. Many of these producers make from a single barrel to a few hundred cases of handcrafted artisan wines.

Come join us from 5-7 p.m. every Friday for great wines and conversation.

Friday, June 27th-Croze & Smith Wooton Wines-One of the first small producers that were included in our "wine cellar" set. Winemaker Gary Wooton makes wines balanced and complex with layers of fruit and oak.

Friday July 4th-July BBQ Wines & Beer-Join the lovely ladies of JV, hosting "what else do you serve with BBQ". Come taste some fun matches to sauces and spice rubs.

Friday, July 11th-Heron Lake Vineyards-Having just been honored by Napa-Sonoma Magazine as one of three "Wineries to Watch". Come taste their line up, Olivia Brion, Palladian, and Lord Nelson Victory. Winemaker David Mahaffrey will be on hand.

Friday, July 18th-Darioush Winery-Darioush a winery noted for its Bordeaux style estate wines, implements old world labor-intensive, micro-vineyard management and new world state of the art technology to craft fine wines.

Friday, July 25th-St. Supery Winery-One of the most popular wineries in Rutherford for wine tasting, and certainly a local favorite here at JV. Come taste the passion that results from both vineyards in Rutherford and Pope Valley.
